The great INCAS built MACHU PICCHU, CUZCO, OLLANTAYTAMBO, SAQSAYWAMAN,etc. They hand sedveral gods, but INTI, THE GOLDEN SUN, was the most important deity in the Inca realm. The sun is always related to gold. That precious stone was not of economic value for the Incas, it was a symbol of the sun and because of that its importance.
The Spaniards on the other hand saw in those golden statues or golden walls a very high economic value. THE CORICANCHA was the Temple of the Sun. It was in Cuzco. It was made of stones put in such proper way… On top of those rocks they mounted gold. So its walls were golden walls. The Incas put emeralds, rubies, etc. around each door. Now you can see only the naked rocks, the gold is gone! Now you can see the holes around the doors, the precious stones were taken! Who take them? Who did it? The answer you know it.
Now you can go to the main church in Cuzco and you will find part of that gold on the Altar. The rest traveled overseas.

INTI, as the Creator of everything, was called HUEHUETEOTL among the Aztecs. It was the very first god and actually the Creator of the gods and humans.
INTI is the fire which brings to life all in the universe. It is called the ‘BIG BANG” by the scientists. It is the origin of that Big Bang!
Every emperor of the Incas was called THE INCA. It reminds me the word: INCANDESCENT! It is related to something hot as the sun.
The Inca was supposed to be the son of Inti. He was a deity itself. Hercules, Perseus, Theseus were sons of Zeus too, no? Sons of the main god are around the planet. Myths? Yes, they are; but it does not mean the meaning is false. Remember: THE IMPORTANCE OF A SYMBOL IS NOT THE SYMBOL ITSELF, BUT ITS MEANING.

INTI AS THE GREAT FIRE OF THE CREATION!
It was a huge explosion, according to scientist. That explosion created the universe. That is the theory of the Big Bang! The question will always stand and challenge modern minds: HOW DID THAT EXPLOSION STARTED? “RANDOMLY” could be the answer. But many scientists do not think so. They see an order in the whole creation: From the great galaxies to the ADN. This brings to the table THE INTELLIGENCE DESIGN THEORY. There is another theory related to the creation: THE STRING THEORY.
Please observe one thing: THEY ARE THEORIES! Do not forget that. Well, modern scientist believe in those theories, but the ancient civilizations already explained the way the universe was made; but they used symbols which usually are not understood!
The main god of ancient cultures, THE CREATOR, is always related to FIRE! It does not matter if you believe in the Big Bang Theory or the String Theory, the matter is: BOTH SAY IT WAS AN EXPLOSION and scientists know very well that… The closer you get (going back in time) to the origin of that explosion the hottest the temperature it was! In other words: THE ORIGIN OF THE CREATION WAS FIRE!
Modern scientist cannot answer the question: WHO STARTED THE FIRE? How can a piece of dynamite explode by itself? We have to admit it has to be something behind that explosion: IT HAS TO BE AN INTELLIGENCE! Neither Inti nor Huehueteotl had human forms; but that form represents that intelligence: IT HAS HUMAN ATTRIBUTES LIKE A HEAD AND A HEART!
The Creator was always depicted as an old man as Hueheteotl is depicted and the Christian Creator too. No one has a human form, they are not humans; but the human shape is just a symbol of intelligence and love (Head and Heart), the power to create (Hands) and the power to move (Feet), etc.
The Creator is a force, but an intelligent force aware of itself and able to think before creating. The Creator of the universe made the gods or angels (for Christians). These gods made humans with the form of them. The same bible, in Genesis, says “LET’S MAKE MEN WITH OUR RESEMBLANCE”… Please note this: “LET’S MAKE…” It does not say: “I WILL MAKE” and check Psalm 82 where written is: “GOD IS AMONG THE GODS IN THE DIVINE TRIBUNAL…” Please do not forget that Angels are many, some of them: Michael, Raphael, Anael, Gabriel (Hermes for the Greeks), etc.
Well, this is not a religion discussion. I just try to explain the meaning of THE CREATOR as the ancient cultures saw him…. Or should I say “saw her”?…

The Sun was the father and the Moon was the mother. We all know that energy needs two poles, one positive and the other negative. Well, check any battery or study the basis of electricity. Energy needs those two poles: The sun is the positive pole and the Moon the negative pole.
Now we understand the need of THE FEMININE DIVINITY!
The moon was always the representation of that Feminine Divinity. It was in every single culture: Isis, Hathor, Sekmet, Venus, Minerva, Ceres, Freiya, Saraswaty, Devi, Durga, etc. Christians tried to erase the divine Feminine, probably because of machismo. Machismo, believing women are inferior than men and therefore they most submit their will to the arrogance of men, is ignorance. Anyway, the goddesses of Christians survived in the form of: Mary, Fatima, Guadalupe, etc. They are called VIRGINS. Now days Christians do not see them as goddesses as they do not see the angels as gods, but... what else are they? They are still worshiping them as our ancestors worshiped the goddesses and the gods.
Sometimes you will see stars around them and, in some cases, the moon. Check under the feet of the virgin of Guadalupe for example.
