QUETZALCOATL: THE FEATHERED SERPENT!

First of all, I have to let you know the myth or legend of Quetzalcoatl was made of several parts found in different myths. It means, this was not told as a whole and unique myth. As usually, myths have different versions, but at the end they have similar things. As I always say: THE MATTER IS THE MEANING!

OMETECUHTLI-OMECIHUATL (LORD AND LADY “TWO” OR “DUALITY”)

They had four sons:

XIPETOTEC (The red one)

TEZCATLIPOCA (The black one, see picture)

QUETZALCOATL (The white one)

HUITZILIPOCHTLI (The blue one)

Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca represents opposite forces which are needed in the universe. It is not good and evil, but rather opposite energies (Positive and negative). The opposites are needed in the universe and nature. How can we have electricity without the opposite poles? So, they both are brothers but enemies. That represents they go to opposite directions.

COATL means serpent, but twin too. So, they are twins but opposites. In Egypt Quetzalcoatl is Osiris and his brother is Seth. Like Abel and Cain. Like Rama who has to give his kingdom to his brother. Like King Arthur and Lancelot or Christ and Judas! This is a very ancient symbol of the opposite energies in the cosmos; but with the same nature, just opposite! Like a proton and an electron! As simple as that!

Tezcatlipoca is energy, negative by nature. When someone wants to control it that person can be destroyed! Remember The Kundalini has an opposite and that is the serpent that talked to Eve! One is the serpent which crawls and the opposite is the serpent which can fly! The first one can destroy you and the other one (Kundalini or Quetzalcoatl) can give you life.

THE SCHOOL OF QUETZALCOATLS.

QUETZALCOATL means PLUMED OR FEATHERED SERPENT. There are three types of Quetzalcoatls:

    1)      QUETZALCOAT AS A COSMIC ENERGY THAT COMES FROM THE COSMOS TO GIVE LIFE TO EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE! That is Kukulcan descending in Chichen Itza in the Equinox of spring.

    2)      QUETZALCOATL AS THE INNER ENERGY WITHIN ALL HUMAN BEINGS, CALLED KUNDALINNI IN INDIA.

3)      QUETZALCOAT AS A TITLE! Yes, as a title of the one who develops the Kundalini. A title as Buddha. It is known Siddharta Gautama became a Buddha, but he was not the last one, but the most famous! CE ACATL TOPILZIN QUETZALCOATL was not the last Quetzalcoatl, but the most famous as Buddha! This Quetzalcoatl is represented as a white bearded man!

It was a school to create Quetzalcoatls, but not all those who started the studies was able to finish. Those who did received the name QUETZALCOATL!

THE MYTHS OR LEGEND OF QUETZALCOATL!

One day, it is said, people saw Quetzalcoatl and they asked him where he was coming from and he answered form the ocean. He was teaching to the Toltecs how to harvest, the calendar, marriage, mathematics, astronomy and more. He became the king of them.

One day, he sent for his wife QUETZALPETLATL. They both got drunk with Pulque (A Mexican drink).  They fell asleep! Next day both were sad and felt pain in their heart! After that the King of the Toltecs did not go to the ritual bath, he did not pray any longer.

Quetzalcoatl fled from Tula! He hid all his treasures in the mountains, cliffs. He looks for comfort in a rock and watching from far his lovely Tula he started to cry!

THE DREAM OF QUETZALCOATL!

YES! THE GREAT HERO OF THE TOLTECS AND AZTECS FELL!
HIS GLORY WAS BURIED WITHIN HIS INNER BEING!
THE KING DIED, BUT THE KING MUST COME BACK!
THE MAGNIFICENT KING LOST HIS KIGNDOME AND HIS THRONE!
WHERE IS THE CROWN OF THE GLORIUS QUETZALCOATL?
WHERE DID HIS LOVE AND WISDOM GO?
OH, MORTALS! WHEN WILL YOU UNDERSTAND THAT QUETZALCOATL IS YOU!
YOU ARE A LITTLE PUPPET TRAPPED INTO THE FORCE OF DESIRE!
QUETZALCOATL IS THE KUNDALINI WITHIN YOURSELF!
IF YOU DEVELOP THAT KUNDALINI YOU WILL BECOME QUETZALCOATL!
THE KING DID NOT DIE, BUT IS TRAPPED INTO HIS OWN TRAP!
QUETZALCOATL NEEDS ONLY ONE THING: HE MUST LOVE QUETZALPETLATL,
IF YOU DO NOT LOVE HER YOU WILL NOT RECOVER THE CROWN!
QUETZALCOATL, YOU MUST FIGHT TO RECOVER REAL LOVE!
YOU ARE DIVINE, BUT YOU ARE DREAMING TO BE HUMAN!
CULWISDOM.

The rock where Quetzalcoatl cried was the PHYLOSOPHYCAL STONE of the Medieval Alchemist. It is said they had the fountain of youth. This is the rock that Moses touched with his staff (The Kundalini) and from which water came out!

Yes! We all need that fountain, not just to remain youth, but to heal our soul’s wounds! Our soul is thirsty and the whole world is dry! What is this life for? What sense does it have to live to get old and finish our life alone? What kind of punishment is this? Is this the outcome of eating an apple? It had to be a golden one or maybe it was more than one!

Why Quetzalcoatl got drunk with QUETZALPETLATL? Why did Adam eat the apple? Why was Samson deceived by Delilah? Why Amfortas was seduced by Kundry?

Medusa was a half woman and half snake creature. The first part represents beauty and passion and the other half is the negative snake of the Biblical Garden. The whole thing represents desire and as Buddha taught: People look for pleasure in life, but they ignore that behind pleasure it is pain; pleasure and pain are always together! Medusa is pleasure (woman) and pain (negative snake). She is the same Coyolxauhqui to whom Huitzilopochtli defeats in the Aztec myth. Coyolxauhqui was a woman and her name means: The one who has rattlesnakes on the cheeks; it is translated, sometimes, as “Face painted with bells.” Those bells are the bells of a rattlesnake.

Our dear Quetzalcoatl went to the STONE BRIDGE. He found a fountain (The fountain of youth) and he drunk some water. He deiced to go to THE LAND OF RED COLOR!

Later he got into a place called: THE PLACE WHERE PEOPLE SLEEP! Someone gave him to drink and he got drunk again and he felt asleep again!

Thanks to that fountain he gained strength to go forward! But again, week as a simple mortal, he again got confused and forgot his task to develop his Kundalini! Again our hero is deceived by life and its problems! Yes, Life is not easy and you need to be a hero to overcome life! You need the strength of Hercules to be stronger than human desires! YES, WE ARE LIVING IN THE PLACE WHERE PEOPLE SLEEP! It was called MAYA by the ancient wise men from India: THE LAND OF ILLUSION!

Quetzalcoatl, Kukulcan for the Mayas, went to the MICTLAN (The mansion of the silence). It was the underworld of the Aztecs, the Xibalba of the Mayas, the Tartarus of the Romans and Greeks, etc.

Remember Orpheus (Chek him on MYTHS OF LOVE) went to the underworld to rescue Eurydice and it is said that Jesus went to hell to rescue souls! Well, here Quetzalcoatl goes to the underworld to rescue the bones of the ancestors!

Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent, found an old man who said: “I am the enigmatic TIME. This kid on my hands is humanity. There is no other thing as temporal as it is. Human beings look for protection and comfort on my hands.”

Yes! We all make plans for the future and we do not think about death. Do you know when you will die? We are here now, but we do not know when we will depart!

We come to life and it is so short, but we do not appreciate what we have. We run against time, but we live as we are immortals!

Why do we get worry too much for the future? It is a way to feel alive and pretend death is not real. We find protection and comfort thinking like that. Yes, we have to make plans for the future; we have to fight for a better life and to improve ourselves; but we have to understand life as it is.

Quetzalcoatl passed through a grotto. He faced many difficulties and finally he got into a very narrow hall. The Spirit of the Earth talked to him: “this narrow hall is to teach you the good things are not easy to get, whatever is good take effort to be reached!”

Yes! We appreciate hard things to get. When something is easy we do not appreciate it. We like adventure and risk. It is part of human nature. The hardest something is the most we love it! The most beautiful things, in life, are not easy to get: LOVE for example. By the way, we love the person who is not easy to get!

THEN:

QUETZALCOATL arrived to a very clear river, which spoke saying: “Drink this water to be purified, so you get spiritual strength and you can continue cleaner.”

When the Spaniards can to Mexico they found the cross on the altars of Mayas and Aztecs. They found the baptism was not new for the Mexicans native. Rama, Krishna and Buddha were baptized in India hundred of years before Christ!

The baptism was a ritual of purification of the soul. Quetzalcoatl, Krishna, Rama, Buddha and also Jesus Christ were baptized when they were adults. The question is: Why some Christians baptize infants? Well, is up to them to answer it and it is something personal.

The ancient baptism was not a mere action of pouring water on the person; but a great ritual which has a symbolism of purification of the soul. Obviously, it has to do with the wrong doings of humanity. Here again, we must remember Moses and the scene when he touched the rock to make water come out from it. That was not regular water, but a super-amazing water able to change the nature of men to make them able to receive a superior strength as Samson and Hercules had. Not mortals are able to do divine tasks, so they need a special fuel and as gasoline is a liquid so this great element is: WATER. This is the water that comes out form the fountain of eternal youth, eternal strength!

Finally, thanks to this magical water, Quetzalcoatl was able to meet IPAL NEMOUANI (The one who has not a name). That majestic being gave him the power to conquer the bones of the elders. Quetzalcoatl received help form Xolotl (A special dog-jaguar). Sometimes Quetzalcoatl fainted because of the great and so hard task he was doing. Xolotl came to give him air and take him, when needed, back to a safe place. This mysterious animal has two qualities, as a symbol: One is a dog (Representing faithful and fidelity to the objective), and the other one is the jaguar (Strength and boldness).

Quetzalcoatl fulfilled his task! He was born to bring his message to the Toltec-Aztecs and to the whole humanity. That super-divine energy came down to show the way and it was presented in those great men who came to do similar tasks.

The last deed our hero did was: He built a boat with some serpents. Yes, those are the positive symbol of the serpent. He left with direction to the Red Land, the Sun (The life giver). Another version says he made fire and jump into it (As Hercules did). Quetzalcoalt’s heart flew to become the planet VENUS: LOVE! He promised to return back again!

How great is this myth! How beautiful and transcendental! The great hero of the Mexican nation gave his life to help humanity, represented by the bones of the elders!
