CULTURE AND WISDOM: MAYAS, AZTECS AND INCAS
Everything in life has a process, construction and destruction too. It is clear that destruction is the fastest. Nature can destroy in a short time what took big effort and years for men to build. But to talk about the end of the world, the destruction of the whole planet would require many years. Not as shown in the movie: 2012, where practically everything is destroyed in one day.
NASA knows about a solar explosion that will occur on December 21st, 2012? Yes, it is true. Fox News released a report where Dr. Michio Kaku (Astro-physics of NASA) is questioned about that matter...
He warms of the consequences of that solar explosion and he dares to say “it is very probable” we will have a blackout and telecommunications might not work, but he goes far telling maybe the whole USA might suffer that! I suggest you watch the video HERE
So, it is clear that something will happen; but we are not prophets. Prophecies say something will occur soon. Nostradamus said so, the Bible too. Revelation indicates a really big destruction that all continents and mountains will sink (Revelation 16:20); but not date is mentioned, not even by Jesus.
Let’s go back to the Mayas’ end of the calendar in 2012. Does every year have an end? Of course, yes! So the end of the Mayan calendar does not mean the end of the world. In the same way as a year ends and a new one starts so a calendar’s cycle ends and a new starts.
Nevertheless, it is important to emphasize the following points:
1> The famous "end of the world" does not refer to the end of the planet or the end of humanity.
2> The end of a cycle, for the Mayas, brings the end of the world as we know it.
3> Such a process can not last for a day, not even for some months, but for many years…
